Deacons & Deaconesses

These departments work on the physical well-being of the church. They keep Cascade Seventh Day Adventist church and souroundings clean for its many services each week. In addition, they also serve vital functions for baptism and communion, setting up the church for life-changing services at least once a quarter.

Deaconess

Deaconesses serve the church in many ways. Their duties include:

• Assistance at baptism to ensure that female candidates are cared for both before and after the ceremony.
• Making arrangements for the Communion Service by assisting in the Ordinances of foot washing and arranging everything for the service.
• Caring for the sick and the poor.

Deacons

The goals of the deacons at the Cascade Seventh-day Adventist Church include a wide range of duties. These include:

• Assisting at church services, welcoming visitors and members and cooperating with the pastor for the smooth running of the church.
• Visiting members in their homes.
• Preparing for the baptismal services and assisting in the preparation of the Communion Services.
• Caring for and maintenance of the church property.
